- Choose a provider. Research the established cryonics organizations, their track records and their storage arrangements.
- Sign the membership and consent agreements. These authorize preservation and make your wishes legally clear to family and medical staff.

- Wear identification. Members carry a bracelet or card so that, in an emergency, responders know to contact the provider quickly.
